Jesse Stuart Fellowship

The Jesse Stuart Fellowship is awarded annually in honor of Kentucky’s poet, novelist and educator. The $7,000 package includes a $5,000 stipend, a $2,000 tuition discount, and a waiver reducing out-of-state tuition to in-state, if applicable.

 

The Stuart Fellowship is open to full-time entering or first-year graduate students in mass communications, humanities, or education. The recipient can have no other Murray State employment, graduate fellowship or graduate assistantship.

 

Completed applications must include:

  • A letter, describing your background, interests and career goals, including graduate study plans
  • Resume
  • Three current letters of reference
  • Transcripts of all college work
  • A completed short application form, available here.
