(1)Four successful semesters of MUS 098 are required.

(2)Students placed in Piano study will take MUS 124 and 125, then MUS 117 for two semesters. Students placed in Voice study will take MUS 130 for two semesters, followed by two semesters of MUS 119. Students placed in Guitar study will take MUS 120 and MUS 121, followed by two semesters of MUS 118. In some cases students will be placed in 100-level applied study for two semesters, followed by 200-level applied study for two semesters.

(3)All students must take MUS 124 and 125. Students who take MUS 124 and 125 as their applied lessons in their first year of music study will take additional hours of music electives to compensate for those credits.

(4)The additional six hours of the minor are ECO 230 and ECO 231 taken as part of the University Studies requirements.

(5)Students may not take more than 25 percent of their coursework (30 hrs) in business without taking the entire Business Core Requirements (See Arthur J. Bauernfeind College of Business.) component. Only six hours of upper-level electives may be in business.

ACC 200, 201; CSC 199; ECO 230, 231; FIN 330; MGT 350; and MKT 360. Six hours must be upper-level courses completed in residence at Murray State University.
