What can I do with a degree in Sociology?

Graduates in Sociology from MSU have gone on to attend law school, graduate school, work as community organizers, advocate for the rights of children, work in business and management positions, serve in social service agencies and non-profit organizations, and to careers in community health to name a few.

A degree can lead to employment opportunities in all of the following areas:

  • Criminal Justice: Corrections, Rehabilitation, Law Enforcement, the Justice System, Parole System.
  • Business and Marketing Advertising, Consumer and Market Research, Management of Non-profit organizations, Human Resources, Training and Human Development, Leadership Training.
