Winslow and the environment

In the circle of life, Winslow takes pride in its place.  Coffee grounds and filters along with fruit and vegetable trimmings from the hall go the Dining Services-run sustainable garden at Pullen Farm (which is part of Murray State's campus). There the scraps saved from the public landfill become rich compost to nourish the farm produce which makes its way back to the dining hall never seeing a single drop of chemical fertilizer nor pesticide.

Do your part and get FREE DRINKS! Alcohol is not allowed on campus, so we don't mean those free drinks. If you bring your own reusable mug into Winslow, however, take your pick of any beverage offered and take it to go at no cost.  Imagine the number of plastic bottles or cups you could save from the landfill in just one semester.
