Sustainability

Sustainability may mean many different things to many different people, but Dining Services takes to heart its overreaching message to maintain the wellbeing of people and nature through the responsible use of resources.

Dining's Sustainability through Responsibility program encompasses many different aspects which helps the campus of Murray State reduce, recycle and reuse.  Full details of our initiatives are included through the links on the right.

Fresh Fish

Winslow Dining purchases much of its seafood from a company that is certified by the Marine Stewardship Council. The fish we get from them is caught by small local fisheries, and is shipped fresh from the docks. We know who caught the fish and when, providing our customers with a great tasting and wild caught product. You'll know the product by the information we post on the serving line, telling you which boat it came off of, and even who the captain is!
