Day of Service: Collegiate Challenge
Murray State University will host their first Martin Luther King, Jr. Day of Service Collegiate Challenge this year! The “Collegiate Challenge” model means that volunteers will come to campus on the morning of MLK Day not knowing what service project they would be assigned to or whom they would be working in a group with. Volunteers will be broken into teams and given their service “challenge” for the day. Groups will have to pull in their resources and work together as a team to meet the community-identified needs. After service projects are completed, volunteers will return to the Curris Center for reflection time and a pictures slideshow. Volunteers will share stories of their day’s adventures and successes.
Are you up for the Challenge?
