Career counseling

The choice of a interesting career that is a match to an individual's interests, goals, and abilities is one of the most important decisions that can be made.  Our staff are available to assist students with this important choice.  We use a number of tools and venues to provide this service.

Our staff are involved in many of the first year orientation classes and provide an introduction to career decision making in these groups.  We also work very closely with Career Services to assist students in their exploration of the world of work.

Career recommendations and information for MSU students is also available using DISCOVER, a computer based assessment of interests and information concerning the world of work. Email or visit Bill Allbritten or Paul Naberezny at the Counseling Center for an access token and instructions. Your email must be sent using your official Murray State University email account.
