Crime Prevention

As part of the University's Crime Prevention program, officers conduct sessions each semester on topics such as personal safety awareness and security, rape prevention and the prevention of burglary and vandalism.   Additional information is published and disseminated regularly via memos, flyers, posters, brochures, newsletters and the University's weekly newspaper.

We try to promote a "common sense" approach to crime prevention such as trying your very best to never put yourself or your property in a vulnerable situation.

Statistically most reported thefts are crimes of opportunity. An example of this is leaving your property unattended.
