To download and use WinSCP (free client for PC):
There are various free clients that support SFTP, including FileZilla and WinSCP. While either can be used, we will be supporting WinSCP, which has a similar interface to WS_FTP LE.

- During the installation, we recommend you select the Commander interface.
When you start WinSCP, the program will ask you for your login information.
- Type in the Host Name: sftp.murraystate.edu
- Type in your User Name, which is your Active Directory (MSUNET2K Network) username.
- Type in your Password, which is your Active Directory (MSUNET2K Network) password.
- In the server’s Protocol box, select SFTP from the drop-down menu.
- Click on the “Save…” button to save your settings.
- Click on the “Login” button.
- You may receive a warning about “The server’s host key.” Click “Yes” to proceed. This error should only pop up the first time you enter in your information.
