Dean Todd Welcome to the Murray State University College of Business and Public Affairs where the primary roles of faculty and staff focus on facilitating student success. As part of the Kentucky higher education system, we take seriously the critical process of what education is all about – that is, the teaching/learning transaction. It is in this transaction where minds are molded, futures are prepared, and lives are changed. Enveloped in this charge are the three areas of focus, namely teaching, conducting research and scholarship, and providing service to the institution, community, and region. All three areas are of vital importance to our faculty and staff, and all activities in these areas create a successful teaching/learning environment for all students.

Our six academic departments: Accounting; Computer Science & Information Systems; Economics & Finance; Management, Marketing, & Business Administration; Journalism & Mass Communications; Organizational Communication, are committed to providing the necessary environment leading to student success, both at the undergraduate and graduate levels. Ultimately, a successful student becomes a successful graduate, a successful alumnus, and a successful citizen. We hold that precept high, and we commit ourselves to student success.

Again, welcome to the MSU College of Business and Public Affairs. As you navigate these pages, please let us know if we can be of assistance in your education and career planning.

Sincerely,
Timothy S. Todd
Interim Dean
