Outside/Third-Party Scholarships

We encourage students to apply for as many financial resources as possible including outside scholarship resources. There are numerous scholarship foundations, organizations, and programs. It is our hope that we can provide you access to such resources, search engines, and information. Please note that these outside scholarship programs are not affiliated with Murray State University and this information is provided to assist you in your search for financial assistance for college costs.

Murray State University honors outside third party scholarships provided the scholarship will be issued payable to Murray State University and the student completes the Outside Scholarship Form.

Upon proper notification of the required information, one half of the scholarship amount will be deducted from the student's semester account balance. Scholarship payment must be received prior to refunding any refundable money.

Scholarships which will be paid directly to the student or payable jointly to the student and Murray State University will be applied to the student account upon receipt of the Scholarship check with proper endorsement and a completed Outside Scholarship Form.
