Spring O - November 10, 2014 Registration is open!
Spring Orientation is an orientation program for all new degree seeking students (transfer and freshman) designed to prepare you for that start of classes in the spring. Whether you're a freshman, transfer student, or parent, you'll find things to interest and excite you.

 

Admitted Student Open House - February 10, 2015
Admitted Student Open House offers students a chance for early Summer Orientation registration, introductions to faculty and staff, and book and scholarship giveaways.

 

Summer O - Registration will open March 2015!
The college experience at Murray State begins with Summer Orientation. All new incoming freshmen are expected to attend one of the seven one-day sessions available. Summer O has been designed to assist you in developing an understanding about the transition you will make to your collegiate environment and to enhance your success in college. Attending orientation will be your earliest chance to register for fall classes.

 

Racer 101 - June 7-10, 2015 and July 8-11, 2015 Registration will open April 2015!
Racer 101 is the premier extended orientation program for first-year students. Racer 101 is designed to aid incoming students in their transition from high school to college by developing a diverse social network of classmates, upperclassmen, faculty and staff members and encouraging their bond to Murray State University through the introduction of campus culture and traditions.

 

Abroad 101 - TBD
Abroad 101 is a study abroad program exclusively for incoming freshmen and transfer students new to Murray State University. This experience will take them to Belize where they will visit the Belize zoo, zip-line, tour the baboon sanctuary and be introduced to many other cultural activities. In addition, students receive credit for a three-hour course, COM 161. Students can experience MSU abroad before ever stepping foot on campus.

 

Service 101 - June 25-26, 2015 Registration will open April 2015!.
Service 101 is an overnight experience offered to new MSU students prior to classes starting in the fall. Participants in the program learn about the important social issues facing the county and how service can be used as a tool for personal growth and community building. During the program, students will have the opportunity to become acquainted with the community they will soon be part of, as well as interact with faculty, staff and students on campus.
