Applications for non-traditional student-specific scholarships are due
June 1. In order to be considered for other competitive scholarships (beyond the non-traditional student-specific scholarships) please have your admission application/information, scholarship application and required documents submitted by
January 15.
A non-traditional student is one who meets any of the following criteria:
- 23 or older
- Financially independent
- Works full time
- A spouse or parent
- A veteran
- Had a break between high school and college
You can submit the application online by selecting the "Apply for Scholarships Online" if you will be a new student to MSU.
If you are a current MSU student, please log into myGate to submit your application on the Financial Aid tab.
Non-traditional student applicants must also submit a letter/essay explaining their financial circumstances or break in studies. Please submit your essay/letter by:
