PhD in Criminal Justice from Sam Houston State University in 2001.

Professional Experience Prior to MSU:

Assistant Professor Criminal Justice—Tenure track faculty position.  Classes taught: Criminology, Ethical Issues in Criminal Justice, Victimology, Juvenile Delinquency, Criminal Justice Systems, Graduate Criminological Theory, Graduate Advanced Social Science Analysis (Statistics), and Graduate Concepts in Law and Justice.  Also responsible for academic advising and acting as Faculty Advisor to the Criminal Justice Student Association, Alpha Phi sigma and Lambada Alpha Epsilon student groups

Research Focus:

Correctional Populations, Victimology, Juvenile Justice
