Dr. Erica Kupinski is currently Assistant Professor of Music Education at Murray State
University. She teaches undergraduate and graduate courses in music education, and
supervises music student teachers.
Dr. Kupinski earned the Doctor of Philosophy from the University of Mississippi, a Master of Music in Music Education from the University of Georgia, and a Bachelor of Music in music education from Augusta State University. Her previous teaching experiences include seven years of elementary general music (PK-5) and adapted music education (PK-12) in Augusta, Georgia. Dr. Kupinski has presented research on music in Mississippi, Missouri, and Florida. Her research interests include elementary general music education, the history of music education, music teacher education, improvisation, social justice, and world music. She has completed Orff Levels I and II at Florida State University and Level III at Arizona State University.
She is a member of the Kentucky Music Educators Association, the National Association for Music Education, and the American Orff Schulwerk Association. Dr. Kupinski has been named to membership in the Honor Society of Phi Kappa Phi and the National Music Honor Society Pi Kappa Lambda.
