Public Relations

The goal of the public relations committee is to increase the Honors College’s presence on campus through the website, brochure and printed media for events. The public relations committee allows our students to acquire experience in technical writing, photography, poster making as well as publication experiences.

From movie nights to holiday parties to trips to Mammoth Cave, the social committee is vital to the Honors College community. In the fall, we host a Halloween party, the HP Thanksgiving Pheast and Dirty Santa Christmas party open to all HP students. In the spring, we host a Pi Day party, a Spring Formal known as Pegasus Prom and the end-of-the-year Toga Party Grill Out on the Quad. There are girls’ and boys’ nights as well as monthly movie nights in the Honors College Student Lounge.

The Honors College has its very own intramural sports teams. These chairpersons are in charge of getting teams together and work very hard to make it a fun but competitive environment for Honors students to participate.
