The Oakley Dining Room
Thank you for visiting our page! At this time we are not hosting meals in the Oakley Dining Room. Please check back as we hope to offer meals again in the near future.
The Meal Management laboratory class (NTN 422) operates the Oakley Dining Room.
This class is a requirement for students majoring in Nutrition, Dietetics, and Food Management and an elective for students with a major in Family and Consumer Science Education.
Each week a different students serves as the Oakley manager responsible for planning and production of the meal. The manager is also responsible for advertising the menu by designing and publishing a web page. Other students in the class are responsible for preparing and serving the meal as instructed by the manager.
We are excited to announce that we will again be able to offer Meal Management in the 2017-2018 academic year. Fall semester, Dr. Karen Byrd will be joining the Nutrition, Dietetics, and Food Management team. Dr. Byrd will be coming to MSU from Purdue University with a PhD in Hospitality Management. She is excited to teach the Meal Management course, and we look forward to the new and exciting things that she will bring to our program and campus.
