Thank you for your interest in employment within the Department of Applied Health Sciences. We welcome energetic and motivated students to become part of our team of committed faculty and staff. The AHS Department houses programs in the areas of Athletic Training, Communication Disorders, Community Health, Exercise Science, and Nutrition, Dietetics, and Food Management. Eligible students of all majors are encouraged to apply for work study positions in our area. Eligibility for work study is determined by the Student Employment office within the Murray State University Office of Financial Aid. Please contact the MSU Office of Financial Aid to verify your eligibility or for more information regarding the work study program.
Students employed in the AHS department support day-to-day operations including assisting faculty, staff, students, and University visitors, answering phones, making on-campus deliveries, data entry and typing, and other general office duties. Students should review the complete job description before applying.
Students interested in working for the AHS department may apply online through the MSU office of Human Resources.The AHS department will not accept in-person or “walk-in” applicants.
Please note that submitting an application does not guarantee employment within the department and does not guarantee an interview. While the department is always taking applications, there are a limited number of positions available. Applications for employment will be kept active for one academic year. Applications will be reviewed by the hiring supervisor and students will be contacted if there are available employment opportunities within the department.
