Murray State University processes many enrollment verifications for loans through the National Student Loan Clearinghouse. Student enrollment data is reported to the clearinghouse three times during the semester; after the last day to enroll, mid-semester, and at the end of the semester.
Students may need verification of their enrollment status for other purposes such as eligibility for insurance coverage, etc.. Enrollment will be verified for the official dates of each semester once a student has completed the registration process.
Undergraduate students will be certified as full-time if they are registered for 12 or more credit hours each semester. Those with fewer than 12 credit hours will be certified as part-time. Graduate students will be certified as full-time if they are registered for 9 or more credit hours each semester. Those with fewer than 9 credit hours will be certified as part-time unless they have graduate assistantships. These students are considered to be full-time if they have 6 credit hours each semester and have their names on the official list of "graduate assistants" kept on file in the Provost Office. Graduate students who have assistantships should indicate this designation in the comments section on the enrollment verification request form.
Enrollment Verifications may now be requested through myGate on the Academics tab. Once a verification has been submitted, it will be processed through the Registrar's office on the next business day.
