Wrather West Kentucky Museum is pleased to announce The Bloodroot Mound Site: A Prehistoric Community in Western Kentucky, an exhibit created by students from the department of geosciences archaeology lab.
The exhibit focuses on an archaeological site located in the Purchase area of western Kentucky. This site was built and occupied during the Mississippi Period (AD 1000 - 1500) and the exhibit showcases the results of excavations done by Murray State students at the site.
This exhibit will be on display from February 13 through May 12, 2017 on the top floor of the museum.
