OUT OF THE ASH

The Murray State University Department of Art & Design and the Clara M. Eagle Gallery present   Out of the Ash, the BFA exhibit in printmaking by Amanda Kaler Combs, on view in the Clara M. Eagle Upper Gallery from March 31 through April 7, 2017.

Combs, a senior from Benton, Kentucky, is a member of SCGI and MAPC. She has participated in the OMAS Exhibition and has received awards of Third Best in Show and the Printmaking Award. She has also received a Merit Award from the Murray Art Guild. Her show features her current artwork, which juxtaposes natural and found objects in both two-dimensional images and sculptural work to suggest narratives that comment on the ideas of transformation, life cycles, restriction/protection, and opposing ideas that exist simultaneously.

The reception for Out of the Ash will be held on Friday, March 31, 2017, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. in the Clara M. Eagle Upper Gallery.

Admission is free and open to the public.
