Welcome to the home page of
the Association of Heads of Departments of Psychology (AHDP). We
are a professional development organization for heads and chairs of
academic departments of psychology. We primarily represent the
southeastern U.S., but we are open to academic psychology leaders from
all geographic areas. Our purpose is to support professional,
effective and ethical leadership for psychology department heads and
chairs.
We represent academic psychology programs
of all types, including larger and smaller departments from public and
private institutions, and we focus on both undergraduate and graduate
training issues. We host leadership training and professional
development seminars at our annual meetings, typically held in the fall
in Atlanta. We welcome comments and membership inquiries directed
