What is the Retention Office?
The Retention Office at Murray State University seeks to provide help to studnets in need. We help students who are struggling academially, finacnially, or personally. We help students make a successful transition from high school to college, develop academic success habits, and create connections with campus resources. Also, we offer leadership positions through our office. Students can serve as a peer mentor, helping other students adjust academically and personally to college. Students can also serve as a Great Beginings Leader, helping us welcome in the new Murray State students each fall.
The Retention Office is committed to planning, processing, and developing retention efforts to create academic growth, promote achievement, and guide students through challenges to foster and achieve academic success compatible with their personal abilities and goals. This office values an ongoing partnership with campus administrators to provide stronger relationships with our students.
