Alcohol eCHECKUP To Go for college students
We work hard to create an environment that is supportive of your success and well-being as you pursue your college degree. To that end, Murray State University has adopted a mandatory alcohol education program for all new, incoming students.
We have chosen to use eCHECKUP To Go, an online alcohol education program, to help you become more informed about responsible alcohol use and how alcohol impacts you personally. Whether you drink or not, this course will empower you to make well-informed decisions about alcohol and help you better cope with the drinking behavior of your peers.
To fulfill Murray State’s requirement you must complete the program by October 13, 2017. Upon completion of the program you will be prompted to send verification to Murray State. Please select ‘Abigail Cox’ from the drop down box in order to have your completion processed correctly.
**** This is a required program. Therefore, any student who does not complete the program AND submit verification by the deadline above will have a registration hold placed on their account which will prevent you from registering for classes until the program is completed.****
To get started go to the following link and follow the prompts for completion:
(The link IS case sensitive.)
IMPORTANT: Save the User ID that you are assigned when you begin the program. This is the only way you will be able to access your account should you need to in the future. Murray State does not have access to these numbers.
IMPORTANT: In order to have the hold removed from your academic record, you must submit the online verification form in the eCheckup system. On the last tab you must click on the below icon, enter your name and M#, and hit submit in order for your hold to be removed.
Please note that all survey responses are strictly confidential; Murray State will only receive information about the student body as a whole and will NEVER see any individual student's answers.
In addition to this mandatory program, our Student Life Alcohol Policy has been updated as of July 1, 2017. The policy includes details about resources, health risk, sanctions, fines, and other important information as it pertains to alcohol use. You will find a link to this policy on the Student Affairs Alcohol and Other Drug Information webpage.
