Work Order System
The AiM work order system is the tool utilized to record the materials and labor for the Department for Facilities Management's activities. A large portion of the work orders are charged to internal accounts or cost centers for distribution of labor to support cost accounting for various buildings and activities. The remaining work orders are charged on a reimbursable basis to the self-supporting auxiliary enterprises and non-state funded activities.
Requests for emergency or routine service will be received at the Department for Facilities Management during normal working hours (7a.m.- 4 p.m.) by telephone, in person or writing. The telephone number is 809-4291. Facilities Management is located behind the General Services Building on Chestnut Street. Work requests can be faxed to the department in writing on the form at the bottom of this page. The fax number is 809-6270.
After normal work hours (4 p.m.- 7 a.m.), on weekends or holidays, requests for emergency services only, will be received at Public Safety at 809-2222. Security relays the message to the Shift Supervisor at the Central Heating and Cooling Plant. The Shift Supervisor will determine the nature of the emergency and react appropriately based on the Emergency Policies of the Department for Facilities Management.
