Marshall Jones Jr. '74 was honored at the 2007 Homecoming Biology Alumni Banquet as the department's Distinguished Alumnus. Joining him at the dinner were, from left, his wife, Clay Fulghum, his mother, Virginia, and his brother and sister-in law, Tarpley '80 and Beverly Jones.

    Perfect weather prevailed throughout the weekend for Homecoming festivities.  Jerry and Betsy Reid Shroat, both 1963 graduates, served as Grand Marshals of the annual Homecoming Parade before making their way to Tent City. Attending with the Shroats were, front row, grandchildren Kylee and Kevin, and friend, Tina Shifflet; and back row, daughter-in-law Laura Shroat, and the couple's two children, Chris Shroat and Beth Shroat.

 

 

Students from the College of Science, Engineering and Technology

were on hand at Tent City to greet alumni of the academic departments.

Tent City was a favorite gathering spot for MSU's Greeks,

including alumnae and current members of Alpha Sigma Alpha sorority.

Classmates Don Rogers '57 and Don Hetherington '57 were among the estimated 3,000 alumni and friends who visited Tent City which boasted a record 51 tents.

MSUAcademic and residential colleges, departments and groups were represented at Murray State including WKMS-FM. Kate Lochte and Stephanie Nutter-Osborne were on hand to promote the University's public radio station.
