Welcome to Civil Engineering Technology

The civil engineering technology program provides students with experience in:

  • Surveying
  • Computer Aided Drawing
  • Construction Materials
  • Structural Steel Design
  • Reinforced Concrete Design

Civil engineering serves the basic needs of society through the planning, design, construction, operation, and maintenance of buildings, highways, bridges, water distribution systems, waste treatment facilities, and many other facets of infrastructure that people and industries depend on everyday.

Graduates of Murray State's civil engineering technology program are employed throughout the United States in a wide variety of jobs - ranging from family owned businesses to some of the top construction companies in the country. With a degree in civil engineering technology, you will be qualified to begin a career as a project manager, construction project engineer, designer, estimator, sales engineer, field engineer, or surveyor.
