Biography
John Hart has worked in the field of telecommunications since 1983. Early in his career he worked as a television director, producer and engineer. In the early days of digital videoconferencing he worked in the development and installation of many networks utilizing H.320 over ISDN & T1. His involvement included the United States Navy Schoolhouse Network, Murray State University's Interactive Video Network, the University of Alabama System Video Network and the Medical College of Georgia Telemedicine Project. He is co-founder of Interactive Solutions, a Memphis based videoconference and network design company.
Hart came to the TSM program when it began in 1998 and teaches courses in telephony and wireless technology. Hart was also instrumental in developing the CyberCave which hosts regional high school students on the Murray State campus to learn about telecommunications.
When not working with bits and bytes Hart enjoys spending time with his wife and two sons. His favorite pastimes include cooking & reading. He is an Extra Class amateur radio operator (KO4ZE).
