Murray State University
Murray State University is a fully accredited university offering both undergraduate and graduate programs. MSU has approximately 10,000 students and is ranked in the top 25 percent of southeastern regional colleges by the American Association of State Colleges and Universities. Murray, Kentucky
The city of Murray is located in Kentucky, a mid-western state. Murray has a population of approximately 20,000 people with an additional 40,000 people living in the surrounding county, called Calloway County. Calloway County is in a historical section of the Kentucky known as the "Jackson Purchase Area" because President Jackson purchased the land from the Chickasaw tribe of native Americans in 1881.
Murray is located minutes away from Kentucky Lake, Lake Barkley and the Land Between the Lakes Recreational Area. The two lakes form one of the largest man-made bodies of water in North America. Murray is centrally located about 100 miles north of the metropolitan areas of Nashville Tennessee and about 180 miles south of St. Louis Missouri.
