1. RE-ADVERTISEMENT: PAYROLL SPECIALIST (G12), Department of Accounting and Financial Services. Regular, full-time position (37.5 hours per week). Salary $11.92 per hour. Education and/or experience: A bachelor's degree in a business related field with two years of general payroll experience or an associate's degree in a business related field with four years of payroll experience are required. A bachelor's degree in accounting is preferred. Skills in the use of Excel and Word are required, with skills in Access Database preferred; a test in these skills is required. Responsibilities will include preparing and entering payroll data within a computerized payroll system, processing and auditing payroll data, maintenance and analysis of payroll accounts, and preparation of internal payroll reports. Candidate must possess excellent communication skills, both orally and in writing. 2. NCAA ELIGIBILITY SPECIALIST (G12), Registrar's Office. Regular, full-time position. Salary $11.92 per hour. Education and/or experience: Bachelor's degree and three years of office experience required. Advanced computer skills (beyond classroom experience) required; Excel and Access preferred. Must possess excellent oral and written communication skills. Strong mathematical and logical reasoning skills required, plus experience with mathematical applications and use of a calculator. Experience reading MSU's MAP reports and knowledge of degree requirements preferred. Responsibilities include the academic certification of all student-athletes as well as monitoring and projecting their future eligibility, verifying the projected eligibility of prospective and transfer athletes, and preparing the Academic Performance Rate report as well as tracking and projecting future APR rates throughout the year. Will be responsible for monitoring student-athlete and university progress toward NCAA goals and working with the Registrar and the Athletics Department in response to ad-hoc needs as requested. Must maintain student-athlete databases for current and historical reporting to OVC, NCAA, and related surveys to outside agencies. Will be required to assist with research and the preparation of reports at a professional level through the use of Access and Excel. A keyboarding test is required. 3. CARPENTER A (G10), Facilities Management. Regular, full-time position. Salary $10.20 per hour. Training and/or experience: Four years of experience in general carpentry trade required. Carpentry through vocational school or apprenticeship program helpful. Must have knowledge of equipment such as table saws, radial arm saws, band saw, skill saw, saber saw, joiner, router, drill press, hammer drill, belt sander, and hand planes. 4. ADMINISTRATIVE SECRETARY II (G8), Teacher Education Services. Regular, full-time position. Salary $8.84 per hour. Education and/or experience: Two years of college and three years of secretarial experience in a business or university required. Additional college and related experience may be exchanged year-for-year to meet qualifications. Must be able to use typewriter, computer, copier, fax machine, printer, scanner, telephone and other office equipment; knowledge of Microsoft Office and Crystal Reports preferred. 5. CASHIER (G6), University Store. Regular, full-time position. Salary $7.79 per hour. Education and/or experience: High school graduate or equivalent with one year of cash register experience required. Position will also include working in various other areas of the Bookstore and other duties as assigned by the Director. Excellent public relations skills important. 8. GROUNDS TRUCK DRIVER (G5), Facilities Management. Regular, full-time (40 hours per week). Salary $7.52 per hour. Education and/or experience: High school graduate or equivalent required. One year of experience in driving vehicles and equipment required with previous experience in work related to grounds maintenance preferred. Will assist in labor related work in the heavy equipment division as assigned by supervision. Experience preferred in the operation and maintenance of large trucks in an environment when tight spaces are predominant and pedestrian traffic is heavy. 1. DIRECTOR OF HUMAN RESOURCES, Finance and Administrative Services. Full-time position to begin August 2008 or negotiable. Qualifications: Master's degree from an accredited institution required, preferably in a field related to human resources. Candidates must have ten (10) years experience in professional level positions in human resources with three (3) years experience in a higher education institution preferred.
