Textbook orders are submitted to the Vice President of Academic Affairs who signs off on orders then distributes the information to the University Store. Fill out a single textbook order form or multiple textbook order form and return to the Vice President of Academic Affairs. Order early! Early orders ensure that textbooks are available for the first day of classes.
Faculty who would like to offer savings to students can opt to participate in the textbook rental program for specific courses for a minimum of three calendar years. Fill out a Textbook Rental Agreement and return to the University Store in person or by mail. Questions about textbook rentals? Contact Don Klukan at 270.809.3921.
Other Required Materials
Faculty who require other course materials besides textbooks should contact the University Store. We are more than happy to carry other student supplies - anything goes, from chemistry goggles, to nursing scrubs, just let us know and we'll have them in-store for your students to purchase.
Did you know that not only can your academic department benefit from Store discounts, but faculty can too? Faculty receive 10% off the purchase of any MSU logo items, textbooks, trade books, art supplies and more in the University Store!
The University Store often sees art students scrambling to gather the various supplies required for their courses. Take the hassle off your students! Send us your syllabus and we'll put together "art kits" for your course. Students can come in to the Store and grab the pre-assembled kit for their course - easy as pie! Contact Cathy Bogard at 270.809.4322 with questions or to submit your syllabus.
A desk copy is a book that faculty members teaching classes can borrow from the University Bookstore to use until they receive their copy from the publisher. The desk copy should be returned to the University Bookstore in a new condition, cannot be stamped "Instructor Copy" from the publisher, and must be returned in the semester in which taken. If the text is not returned by the end of the fiscal year, the department will be charged full price for the text. For a desk copy, contact Don Klukan at 270.809.3921 or Sarah Crawford at 270.809.6995.
If you are a faculty author who would like to have your book displayed on the faculty author wall and for sale in the University Store, please contact Donna Witherspoon at 270.809.6994. Please indicate the book title, publisher and any other important details as well as if you are interested in having a book signing at the University Store.
