Blalock interns at Southern Living
Cindy Blalock, a senior advertising major, is interning with Southern Living magazine in Birmingham, Ala.
Blalock began her six-month, paid internship in January and works in advertising sales and sales development.
Some of her duties include analyzing consumer research, working with sales representatives and developing marketing/sales plans.
Blalock had prior internships in marketing with Country Music Television in Nashville and with the Paducah Bank.
Southern Living, which has a readership of more than 16 million, is owned by Southern Progress Corporation, a subsidiary of Time Inc. The company is owned by Time Warner and has more than 120 magazines.
Blalock, named to this year's "Who's Who in American Colleges and Universities," is scheduled to graduate upon completion of the internship.
