Campus show gains statewide audience

Murray State University's weekly television show, "Roundabout U," is now on Kentucky Educational Television (KET). This gives viewers across the state an opportunity to learn about MSU and West Kentucky events.

"Roundabout U" airs seven times each week. The show's hosts are Jim Carter, a '79 JMC graduate with a master's in 1986, and Katie DeCillo, a sophomore electronic major from Murray. Carter is the vice president for institutional advancement.

"Roundabout U" is one of several productions from MSU to be on KET. Programming includes "The Holidays at Murray State University," the Waterfield and Sparks lectures, the Chamber dinner with Gov. Steve Beshear as speaker, the spring commencement, "Night of the Stars" and "Nathan Stubblefield Speaks."

The Stubblefield production was scripted by Dr. Bob Lochte with much of the production done by Jeremy McKeel of TV 11. Faculty member Bob Valentine portrays Stubblefield in the show that has aired on PBS stations in 21 cities in the U.S.

According to Mac Wall, KET executive director, "Murray State figured it out from the beginning and continues to produce and offer, for KET distribution, excellent programs that reflect the vitality of campus life at Murray."
