COURSE NUMBER: CREDIT HOURS: I. TITLE: (As listed in the current MSU bulletin.) II. COURSE DESCRIPTION: (For existing courses, this must agree with catalog copy. For new course proposals this should include a general description, a breakdown of effort---e.g. 2 hours lecture plus 2 hours lab, any required activities outside scheduled class time, and any prerequisites. Courses graded Pass/Fail should be noted.) III. PURPOSE: (General statement of what is to be accomplished in the course and how it fits in the particular program of study—may be quite similar to the catalog description.) IV. COURSE OBJECTIVES: (Specific goals, stated in performance terms, of what is to be gained from the experience.) V. CONTENT OUTLINE: (Topics of study—may be related to specific text book for any given semester but should be general when proposing a new course to eliminate unnecessary constraints.) VI. INSTRUCTIONAL ACTIVITIES: (Varies with type of course—i.e. lecture, recitation, problem solving, discussion, etc.) VII.
