Getting Admitted
If you are already admitted to Murray State University, please disregard this section.

I have contacted the Business Online Advisor by email (bpaadvising@murraystate.edu) or by phone (270-762-3585) to let them know that I will be sending my application for admission to Murray State.

I have completed the Murray State Admission Application form and have mailed it along with a check for $25.00 to:
Admission's Services
Murray State University
PO Box 9
Murray KY 42071

If I am enrolling as a transfer student in the BS-Business Administration program, I have requested official transcripts to be sent from all of the institutions that I have ever attended to the Murray State University Admission's Services office, as indicated on the admission's application. I have written "BUSINESS ONLINE PROGRAM" at the top of the application form to let the admission's staff know that I am interested in pursuing the BS-Business degree program.

If I am attending another university and will not pursue the BS-Business degree at Murray State the first semester I enroll, I have applied as a visiting student. I have requested that a Letter of Good Standing be sent from my current institution directly to the Murray State University Admission's Services office, as indicated on the admission's application. I understand that the Business Online advisor can explain how to change my admission status to full-time degree seeking student at a subsequent semester.

I am prepared to provide documentation to prove my residency information, which may be necessary to complete my admission to Murray State. Examples of such would be a copy of your driver's license, a copy of your car registration, a copy of your lease/deed, or a copy of your federal tax return. Each applicant is notified by the Admission's office if documents are necessary.

If I haven't received a letter from the Admission's office confirming my status in a reasonable time period, I have notified the Business Online Advisor (bpaadvising@murraystate.edu) or I have called the Admission's office at 888-272-4678, ext 2, to determine the reason for the delay.

I have received a letter from the Murray State Admission's office stating that I have been officially admitted to the university.
I am now admitted to Murray State University!

Applying for Financial Aid
It is not necessary to be officially admitted to Murray State before applying for Student Financial Aid. If you are not applying for Student Financial Aid, disregard this section.

I have read the "Financial Aid Guide" for the appropriate academic year on Murray State's Student Financial Aid web site.

If I am enrolled in classes at other institutions, I have contacted the Student Financial Aid office at 800-272-4MSU, extension 3, or 270-762-2546, to inquire about Concurrent Enrollment Forms necessary to process my financial aid awards at all institutions combined.

If I am applying for a Student Loan, I have completed the Entrance Counseling Form, which can be found online at http://ww2.kheaa.com/entintro.html. I have contacted Amy Hardin, Student Loan Specialist, Murray State University, 270-762-2691, with any questions regarding my student loan.

Getting Scheduled in Your Classes

I have contacted the Business online advisor (bpaadvising@murraystate.edu) and have made a decision about which courses to schedule in. I understand that the Business Online Advisor can reserve a seat in the class for me before I am officially admitted.

I have verified that the classes I requested are on my offical student record by logging into the Student PIN system.

I have reviewed my account information on the Student PIN system.

I have sent an email message to each of my instructors to let them know I will be joining their class this semester.

I have become familiar with "RacerNet", the Campus Community's web site, where I will find the "E-Study" blackboard icon, access to the PIN system, and other online resources. I understand that I will access all of my course materials and communicate with my instructor and fellow classmates on the "E-Study" web site.

I have become familiar with the Murray State home page, where I will find general information about Murray State, and access to all administrative web resources.

Completing Official Enrollment
You are officially enrolled in your courses when your current account balance is zero. This is the amount shown as the "payment due" on your account balance of your PIN record.

I have reviewed the information about billing, fees, fee payment, and refunds, on the MSU Bursar's web site. To contact the Bursar's office, call 270-762-4226.

I understand that I may not receive a billing statement in the mail. I will refer to my current account information on my PIN record when I have received confirmation that my classes are officially scheduled.

I have made my minimum payment due, or paid my fees in full, by one of the following methods:
  • Mail a check or money order payment which includes your name and your University Account Number (your social security number) on it to:
