Important Dates to Note and Remember (Spring 2009)
For your information and planning, the following dates should be noted:
January 11, Sunday -- Residential Colleges Open, 12 noon.
January 12, Monday -- First Day of Classes.
January 16, Friday -- Last day to add a full-semester class.
January 19, Monday -- Legal Holiday: Martin Luther King's Birthday. University will be closed.
February 13, Friday -- Master's degree applications for May 2009 graduation due in Graduate Admissions Office.
March 2, Monday -- Mid-Term Grades Due.
March 4, Wednesday -- First half semester courses end.
March 5, Thursday -- Second half semester courses begin.
March 13, Friday -- Proposals for JMC 690 projects due in Dr. Wall's office. Proposal must be competed and approved by Dr. Wall to register for JMC 690 in Summer or Fall 2009.
March 16 - March 20 -- Spring Vacation.
April 3, Friday -- Advance Registration for Summer & Fall Semesters 2008 begins.
April 24, Friday -- Last day to withdraw from ALL classes.
April 29, Wednesday -- Senior Breakfast, Curris Center Ballroom, for all seniors and graduate students graduating in May 2009 or August 2009. Classes dismissed from 7:30 - 9:15 a.m.
May 1, Friday -- Last Day of Classes.
May 4 - 8 -- Final Examinations scheduled. See exam time in the Spring 2009 Schedule of Classes.
May 8, Friday -- Honors Day, Lovett Auditorium, 2:30 p.m.
May 9, Saturday -- Commencement, Regional Special Events Center (RSEC), 10 a.m.
May 11, Monday -- Final Grades Due.
May 12, Tuesday -- Final Grades Available on Student PIN.
