INTERVALS

An INTERVAL is a measurement of the distance in pitch between two notes. There are two parts to any INTERVAL name: the numerical value and the quality.

Let's first look and the numerical value of an INTERVAL. The numerical name is a measurement of how far apart the notes are on the staff. When determining the distance between two notes:
