The Department of Chemistry at Murray State University and Air Products are proud to establish annual Gary Boggess Distinguished Lecture in Chemistry.  Dr. Gary Boggess is a former Dean of the College of Science and faculty member in the Department of Chemistry at Murray State University.  This seminar is in recognition of Dean Boggess' years of distinguished service to the department, college, and university.  Please read a biographical sketch for more information.

We were pleased to have Dr. Norman Hackerman, Emeritus Professor of Chemistry at the University of Texas at Austin, as our speaker this year.  The title of his talk was "Science and Society."
