In 2002,
Murray State University received an award from the National Science Foundation
and the Kentucky EPSCoR Programs to develop a Center for Watershed Environments.
The new Center will build upon Murray State’s accomplishments as a Commonwealth
Center of Excellence in Reservoir Research and will facilitate new environmental
science education and research partnerships with faculty at the University
of Kentucky
