Crystallization is the change of a liquid into a solid where as melting is the change from a solid into a liquid.  Critical Thinking Question: Why do we make glass from Quartz instead of Albite or Anorthite?  Compare the conditions under which a Granite will melt with those under which a Gabbro will melt.
