THE FIVE-ACRE WOODS is the site for the Murray Independent School systems's long-term environmental monitoring program. The program is sponsored by a grant from the Howard Hughes Medical Institute to Murray State University's Biomedical Sciences. The site is maintained by The Center Of Excellence for Reservoir Research.
