On March 31-April 1, 2000 several students went to the Kentucky Section MAA Spring Conference and gave talks on their research. Of the 12 talks presented by students from schools in Kentucky, 6 were presented by Murray State Students. The students and the the name of their talks are listed below.
Thalya Burden -- “Optimal Control Applied to Immunotherapy”
Kim Calender -- “Trigonometric Identities from a Different Angle”
John Eveland -- “A Maple Approach to Representation Theory”
Marti McClard -- “Picturing Representations of Lie Algebras”
Mallie McCloud -- “From the Interstate to Mathematics”
Melissa Tolene -- “Differential Downcutting”
Thalya Burden, also, won with a poster she presented of her research at the Annual Sigma Xi Research Symposium and Poster competition held at Murray State in the April 2000.
