- A student who
has been academically suspended or dismissed from the university and
feels it was due to circumstances beyond his/her control may appeal in
writing to the Registrar for special consideration. If the Registrar
desires, the student’s request can be forwarded to the Academic
Appeals Committee for dispensation. This committee is composed of
eight members; two student members plus one faculty member from each
of the colleges and the School of Agriculture. The committee reviews
each case and makes decisions based on information provided them by
the student or other individuals. The student may be present for the
hearing or may present his case in writing only. The student comes
before the committee alone. Guests are not able to speak or be
present.
