1. When does your semester start?
Our fall semester begins in August; our spring semester begins in January; and our summer term begins in June. Go to our calendar page for more specific dates.
2. When can I get a schedule of classes?
The Schedule of Classes offered each term is available at this web site. The fall and summer schedules become available at the end of March, and the spring schedule is available at the end of October. Copies can be mailed to addresses within the United States.
3. When can I schedule my classes?
Students who have been admitted are mailed information about the dates when they may schedule. Go to our REGISTRATION page or our CALENDAR page for information on specific registration dates.
4. What majors/programs do you offer?
Go to our ACADEMIC PROGRAMS page for a full listing of all of the fields of study that we offer at the undergraduate or graduate level.
5. How do you get to Murray State?
Go to our WELCOME page for specific directions to Murray, Kentucky.
6. Do you have an application fee?
Our admission application fee is $30.00. Our housing application fee is $75.00. These fees should be paid as separate checks or money orders made out to Murray State University, and should be mailed with the appropriate application to the address indicated on the form.
7. Do you have an application deadline?
Our priority deadline for applying for fall or summer is at the first of April, and the priority deadline for the spring semester is at the end of October. Student’s may apply after this time, but those who are admitted may not be able to participate in early class selection.
8. Can I get a catalog?
General information on Murray State is mailed to prospective students, and information on specific program requirements is available from each academic department. Catalogs are provided to enrolled students to use as a guide to all of the university’s policies and procedures.
