Multicultural Parents Advisory Council [MPAC]
 
MPAC a partner with the Parents Office, serves as a forum to exchange ideas and experiences related to the retention of multicultural students.  MPAC also serves as a support group for parents and students and supports other Multicultural Center endeavors. MPAC holds a general body meeting during Pre-Great Beginnings, Family Weekend and Spring "Little Sib" Weekend.  Contact us today to join the "Circle".
 
 
Schedule
Registered students can check into their Residential College between 1:00 pm and 3:00 pm, on Friday, August 14, 2009. (You must register to move-in early)
 
The Pre-GB Program begins at 5:30 pm in the Curris Center Stables.
 
The Pre-Great Beginnings Program includes a dinner, Emerging Scholars Institute Orientation, Multicultural Student Organization & Support Resources Exposition and a bowling party with the ESI Peer Mentors.

and give your students name, M-Number and the number of people attending Pre-GB.

What is Pre-Great Beginnings?
Pre Great Beginnings is sponsored by the Marvin D. Mills Multicultural Center and the Multicultural Parents Advisory Council to provide multicultural students and diversity scholars an opportunity to connect, network and meet faculty & staff mentors and student peer mentors who are dedicated to helping students with their transition from high school to college.
 
Who can participate?
Participation is for Multicultural Students (African American, Hispanic American, Asian American & Native American), Marvin D. Mills Scholars, Diversity Blue & Gold Scholars and Whitney Young Scholars.
 
Is there a cost?
There is no fee associated with Pre-Great Beginnings.  However, you must register to participate.
 
What is the benefit to attending?
You meet and network with faculty, staff and students that are dedicated to your success at Murray State University.
