| Murray State's eight residential colleges house over 3,000 students. All rooms on campus are designed for two students and are air-conditioned. Seven colleges—Clark, Franklin, Hart, Regents, Richmond, Springer and White—offer suite arrangement baths. Two colleges—Elizabeth and Hester—offer community bath arrangements. All rooms in all colleges have individual lavatories, and all public hallways are carpeted to help reduce the noise level. All residential colleges are within convenient walking distance of classes, the university center, recreation facilities and campus dining halls.
