Richmond NewsA Diversity Panel was held at Richmond College, and was well attended by the student and faculty/staff community. Moderated by Jody Cofer, panel members included: Dr. Ann Beck, Robin Phelps, Dr. Luis Canales, and Dr. Michael Waag. Discussed were issues of diversity in college campuses and in the United States culture as a whole. Hosted in the south Richmond College Common Room was FUN, FOOD, and CULTURE @ Richmond, with presentations about several countries. Noted guest was Dr. Bill Mulligan, presenting England and Ireland. Senior MSU student Sarah Brock related her stay in Puerto Rico. MSU students Elena Volovich and Ewa Wantulok spoke about their home countries, Tajikistan and Poland, respectively. Jennifer Dickey in the Study Abroad office addressed the many Murray State study abroad programs. Jodi Keen was the master of ceremonies and also presented her stay in Vienna, Austria |
