National Testing Programs

Current Schedule of Testing - Computer based tests are administered by appointment. Call 270.809.6851 to schedule a testing session. Paper based tests are administered at various times of the year as per the publisher's test schedule. Registration bulletins may be downloaded from the publisher's website.  A partial listing follows below.  Most programs no longer publish paper bulletins.

Testing Locations - use the campus map on our virtual tour site to locate testing locations. We use four buildings, appropriate locations will be noted in the calendar entry for the particular test. On the virtual tour site, the Business Building is number 9,10; Faculty Hall, number 18; Ordway Hall, number 23; and the Curris Center, number 35. Building numbers are subject to change without notice.  Parking regulations are enforced during many testing sessions.  Contact Public Safety at 809-2222 prior to testing for a temporary permit if you do not have an appropriate tag.

Many of these programs require pre-registration several weeks before the test can be taken. Consult your advisor for more information on which tests you may need to take.

Our ETS Computer Based Testing (CBT) Center is now operational. We began administering computer based tests on February 19th, 2001.  Call 270.809.6851 for information on test availability and scheduling.

The College Level Examination Program (CLEP) tests are also computer based.

CLEP CBT tests are given in our offices in Room 105 of Ordway Hall, located on the corner of 15th and Olive Streets, on the Murray State University campus (Click here for a map to Ordway Hall).  Other tests are given at locations noted on the admission ticket for that test or in other information provided by the test publisher or our office.

We look forward to working with you.  Please arrive 30 minutes before your appointment time to allow time for check-in procedures to be completed.  We ask that you schedule your appointment well in advance as we may be fully booked as much as 30 days in advance.

A note about fees for the COMPASS, ACT-R and Miller Analogies Test and rescheduling .  Fees are payable prior to scheduling a test date.  Fees are not transferable to dates other than the one initially scheduled unless we receive notice that you will not attend the test at least 3 working days prior to the scheduled examination. Fees are not refundable
