Carrying on a tradition of excellence for over eighty-two years, Murray State University boasts one of the greatest collegiate publications in the nation: the Shield. 

The student-produced yearbook is compiled throughout the year and is published each fall.  The staff consists of paid and volunteer students who work on the design, layout, photography, writing, and business aspects of the book.
