Admission Procedures
Step 1 - Application (download pdf)
Complete and mail the Murray State International Application with a non-refundable $30 fee.
Please review the following instructions before submitting any application fees to MSU. We cannot accept any check or money order that requires payment of any clearing fees or collection fees.
- Be sure your bank has a banking relationship with a well-known US bank. The name of the US bank MUST be shown on the face of the document.
- ABA routing code number and the account number MUST be on the document before we can accept it for payment of any fees. These may be magnetic numbers shown on the lower edge of check or money order, or a bank employee may type the numbers on the face of the document.
- MSU will accept MasterCard, VISA, AMEX or Discover credit card payment. Please complete this authorization if you prefer to submit payment by credit card.
Step 2 - English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) requirement
Students from non-English speaking countries are required to take the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL), or complete Murray State's English as a Second Language Program. A minimum score of 500 on paper-based test or 173 on computer-based test is required for admission as an undergraduate.
Step 3 - Statement of Financial Support (download pdf)
Complete and mail the Statement of Financial Support and appropriate documentation.
Step 4 -Transcript request
Request an official transcript be sent directly from the registrar of each college, university, or secondary school attended. All degrees must be noted. If the documents are not in English, they must be accompanied by a translation.
